Welcome! If you're anything like me, you've become quite obsessed with your Vespa(s). So obsessed that you're compelled to want to restore it back to the way it was right out of the factory. You want to do everything correct, and that includes using the same color code that Piaggio did when they sprayed your bike in Pontedera. Well, then you've come to the right place. As a service to the vintage vespa community, I wanted to put together a resource that would provide you with the info you need, and save you from having to do the countless hours of legwork I had to do to achieve the same goal. I’ve taken the paint swatches available in the Vespa Technica 6, and Chroma-scanned all 72 odd colors. I will email you the exact paint tinting formulation for whatever color you want. The formulation is based off of a readily available base color ( such as an existing Volkswagen or Audi color ) and a subsequent string of tints and quantities in order to match it exactly to the color swatches that Vespa produced. You can take the email to any Auto paint supplier and have them mix you up either a single stage or 2-stage paint, according to your specifications, budget, demands, urethane / acrylic, etc. If you need an amount of the paint sent to you directly, I can accommodate that request for an additional cost.
